IVF Statistics
In collaboration with the Accreditation Committee of the Canadian Fertility and Andrology Society (CFAS), the BC Women's Centre for Reproductive Health together with 20 other centers in Canada, voluntarily participates in contributing data to a national registry for the results of assisted reproduction.
As there are variations between centers for patient selection criteria and cycle cancellation policy, it is often difficult to do a “head to head” comparison, particularly for the >= 40 age group. However, the CFAS national registry has provided reassurance to Canadians that the pregnancy and live birth rates are on par with other national registries, including the United States and, complication rates are low.
