Dr Rowe received his undergraduate medical training at the University of Adelaide in South Australia, and graduated in 1971. After residency training in various parts of Australia and at Dalhousie University, he completed his training with a research fellowship in reproductive medicine at the University of Sydney in Australia.
He is currently Head of the Division of Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility at the University of British Columbia.
He is a member of the editorial board of four journals and of the International Menopause Digest, is Special Projects Editor for the Journal of Obstetrics and Gynaecology Canada, and edited the reports from the Canadian Consensus Conferences on Contraception, Endometriosis, and on Menopause and Osteoporosis. He co-authored the textbook Gynecology: A Practical Approach. He is a core member of Health Canada’s Scientific Advisory Committee on Human Reproductive Therapies and a member of the SOGC’s Ethics Committee.
