Dr. Anthony Cheung is a reproductive endocrinologist and medical director of the In Vitro Fertilization program at the BC Women's Centre for Reproductive Health. In addition to his ongoing research on polycystic ovary syndrome and ovarian physiology, he is currently working on predictive models of pregnancy success and public health issues related to assisted reproductive technologies. He is a fellow of both the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada. Prior to accepting a position with the University of British Columbia in 1996 he was a faculty member in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Alberta, completed a fellowship in menopause at the center for the Management of Menopause in Sydney, Australia and another fellowship in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility at the University of California, Davis.
On a personal note, Anthony is particularly interested in human potential for growth and development. This is manifested in his holistic clinical approach to infertility. He can be found pondering all this often over a cup of tea in the afternoon.
