Physicians on the IVF team are members of the UBC Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Division of Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility. Their areas of interest and expertise include reproductive endocrinology, andrology, tubal surgery, endometriosis and immunology. |

Nurses on the IVF team are experienced in infertility and IVF. These healthcare professionals have been trained and are available to discuss questions and concerns couples may have before, during and after the IVF cycle as well as providing emotional support, teaching, and a link to community resources. All teaching and counselling is done in private sessions with a focus on individual personalised care. |

The IVF lab personnel who are trained in embryology, andrology and cytogenetics are dedicated solely to reproductive technologies and perform specialised procedures, such as semen analyses for in vitro fertilitzation and intrauterine insemination, invitro fertilitzation, embryo culture, cryopreservation (freezing) of embryos, and intracytoplasmic sperm injection. |

A counsellor is available for three hours of individual counselling to couples or individuals in the IVF Program who wish to receive support to understand and cope with emotional and psychological aspects of the infertility process. In addition, there is a weekly support group facilitated by the counsellor |
